A Die-Hard Romantic Confesses All
Man Looking for WomanYou, girl in blue, smiled at me and got off at Lai King on the line to Tsuen Wan at around 10:00 AM.
The most romantic words I've heard to date. I used them as "poetry" in an anthology of "beauty is in the eye of the beholder" but finally got the original copy that I apparently thought was worthwhile to copy into my diary- March. 3.
I wrote an "extended version" that made me feel slightly bent- it's trash i know, but at least i don't cringe at the sight of it as i do with most other writing.
You smiled at me that day, with that playful tug of your corners. Did you notice my furtive, adoring glances and take pity, or did you feel the pounding of my head and look into my soul?
The sight you made that day. You, the girl in blue, leaning casually on the railing, without a care in the world, leges crossed, carrying the Times and Starbucks, the epitome of modern refinement.
No matter your motives, one look, and my soul fluttered away.
Then some more nonsense about stars- think i was reading too much montgomery at the time.
It's sweet- but i'm sure most people would say it reeks of desperation. But what's wrong with a little desperation? The world is full of lonely people just waiting to meet one another? Some quote like that. Wherever the guy is, if he is reading this, I wish him all the luck in the world. Though the possibility of him reading this is probably about the same as the girl replying to his ad. It's a sad world we live in. I'm feeling other wordly and old, that's why I'm pulling off the morbid voice.
To all those who feel morbid at precisely 2:46 sometime in their life, I dedicate this post to you.
